American Standards - The Death of Rhythm & Blues - EP
Release Date: 9/14/2013
Genre: Hardcore/Punk
Must Have Tracks: The Engine and The Engineer, Dead Man's Victory
This album really caught my attention with the name, what I mean by that is the name is very powerful by its self. With five kick ass, in your face songs it is definately worth getting for any Punk fans.
1. The Engine and the Engineer -
This is the lead single off the EP, Definately A very strong opening track. It starts off with A pissed at the world attitude and does not get rid of it. It is my opinion that this is A track that people will listen to and instantly get pumped up.
2. Dead Man's Victory -
Opening up with the vocalist screaming " I Met The Devil At The Crossroad" shows exactly what the song is about, But at the same time does not get boring. I feel this song is probably one of my favorite tracks on the album. It also fills in why the album is called "The Death of Rhythm & Blues".
3. The Burden of Being -
Starting off very soft and melodic than instantly going insane . This song is very dark lyrically with lyrics like "Tying This Noose Around My Own Neck" this is a very good song in showing emotion. I feel this song shows the real personality of the band. The song ends and instantly goes into the next track.
4. The Interlude -
Continuing "The Burden of Being" this Instrumental is a very soft and melodic track.
5. Misery Relapse -
This song finishes the album with the same angry attitude as the beginning, It is A very powerful Closing track. The song really puts an end the the album quite nicely.
With heavy instrumentals and very well written lyrics it shocks me that the band is not bigger than they are. I feel this is A must listen album for fans of Hardcore & Punk music.

Blink-182 - Dogs Eating Dogs - EP
Like always Blink-182 does not fail to impress me. This five song EP is one of my favorite albums of 2012. Tom Delonge, Mark Hoppus, & Travis Barker never cease to amaze me.
1.When I Was Young-
Amazing way to start an amazing EP. Like always the trio were perfectly together. Travis Barker's drumming in this song show why he is my personal favorite drummer. The lyrics are so wonderfully written. I dont think anybody else could've pulled off this song.
2.Dogs Eating Dogs-
I can definately see why this is the title track to this EP. I don't know which I like better the lyrics or the music. The two factors mesh perfectly together.
3.Disaster-
This is my personal favorite from the EP. It is another well written song from my favorite band. I feel like this song's meaning might differ from who is listening.
4.Boxing Day-
This song was released right before the EP and listening to it I knew I was buying this EP. This song might possibly be A christmas song, im not sure (but it does bring up christmas). Once again the trio write an amazing track together.
5.Pretty Little Girl-
This is the last song unfortunately. This song was definately A great choice as the closer. I feel that this song make's the listener believe there could be more after it. In my opinion it didn't make me feel like the EP was over, but it was.
This EP was self released by the band. I feel that this EP is A new sound for Blink-182 with older let's say attributes. If any new music from Blink-182 is gonna sound like this I am definately buying.
Overall: 4.5/5
Rishi P - Take A Look Inside
I honestly had never heard about this guy before, he asked if I would review his album. So Upon looking into it im glad he did. This is A quick little review of the album.
1. Intro-
Like I say everytime these come up I dont personally like intro's/outro's/interludes, but I get why they are there. In this intro you have A guy im assuming is Rishi P talking about who he is, pretty simple.
2. Take A Look Inside-
The title track to this album, I like the fact that it is very emotional and piano driven. It is A song that I personally find almost empowering to listen to. I feel like it is kinda almost A anthem for outcast's in it's own way.
3.I'm Sorry-
This song in the first five seconds listening to it I fell in love with it. The Lyrics and beat mesh together so well. I feel for the fact that the beat is kinda A slower hip-hop beat (which I really like).
4.Free My Spirit-
The one thing that instantly stood out for me was how quick he brought you up to speed in what you would hear in this song. I was not really feeling the beat in this song, However I really enjoyed the lyrics so that made the song listenable. Definately not my favorite song, but not completely horrible.
5.She Should Know-
I instantly fell for the beat, it made this song POP! in my ears. The lyrics are very fitting to the beat. The song is A full fledged story which im A fool for stories so it won me over.
6. Bars Of Pain-
I feel personally the vocals were just A bit too fast for the beat, but not horribly noticeable (I only noticed because I always listen for that so I know what im listening for). I feel it is not one of the best song's on the album, but not the worst either (intro and annoying skit).
7.Dreams-
This song had to be one of my favorite's. I loved the beat and lyrics and the fact that they meshed just fuckin perfect. This song actually gave the album A lil bit more of A overall rating to me.
8. Tear It Up (Feat. Danchise)-
The first collab on this album and it worked well. The two (Rishi P & Danchise) work very well together. They both let out wonderful lyrics over an equally wonderful beat.
9. Alone With You-
This song to me could not have been on any other album. I feel like this song kinda tied the whole rest of the album together. It is another one of my favorite's. The beat and lyrics clicked together well.
10. Annoying (Skit)-
This skit fits it's name (annoying). It kinda temporarily killed the album's vibe for me, but not for too long.
11. Keep It Real-
This song instantly gave me chills. The beat is super fucking dark, darker than the lyrics. The lyrics did not fit the beat too well. The beat kinda made me want to listen to MGK's D3mons (Feat. DMX).
12. Friday Night-
This song was clearly the party song of this album. The lyrics meshed well with the beat. This song is just A fun song to listen to and be in A good mood.
13. The Difference (Feat. Shadowless)-
First thing that caught my attention was how awesome the name of the guest star was (Shadowless). Then when I actually listened to it I found that I really dig this song. It is A little more upbeat than most of the album plus Shadowless brought A nice touch to the song. Most of this song is talking about what make's A rapper different than an MC.
14. Changes-
Every hip-hop album need's the full depression song in it and this is the one one for this album. The lyrics and beat are very dark. This song is definately one song im glad is on this album. This song lyrically reminds me of the darker side of Eminem.
15. Can't Be Stopped-
This song is also needed. Every hip-hop album need the egotistical song. This song show's how cocky Rishi P is (not A bad thing). In my oppinion all rapper's should be cocky, it make's for A better album. The lyrics go along perfectly with the beat (which im A sucker for beats as you can tell).
16. Moving On (Feat. Shadowless)-
This song brings on the end of this album, but it brings on one thing better, the return of the man with the awesome name haha (Shadowless). I instantly loved the dark lyrics not so dark beat competition (I say competition because the beat and the lyrics kinda fight each other, but that is something I like). Rishi P definately stood out more in this song to me. If more song's in hip-hop are kinda like this I might listen to it more. Overall this song was A perfect closer to this album.
This album was released as A free download (which im gonna post the link). I feel that is A free album and not A mixtape. I feel like the difference between the two is that if A free album was in stores I would buy it, A mixtape I wouldn't. So everyone who may read this review should really check this album out.

Rome - Dedication - EP
Rome is the singer for band Sublime With Rome. This is his debut solo EP.
1.Dedication-
Such A great opening track I do not think any other song could have opened up this EP. This song's instrumental reminds me of Coldplay (In A good way haha). Rome's Vocal's and lyrics mesh with the music perfectly.
2.Seasons-
This song is personally my favorite on the EP. It has like A hip hop feel to the beat, but then Rome sings and kinda brings a poppy rock feel. I feel if any song from this EP should be on A full length album this one should be.
3.Hung Up-
This song has like an alternative feel to it's instrumental. Rome once again add's A poppy rock feel with his vocal's. The lyrics to this song are amazingly written. They fit the music so well.
4.Oz Of Love-
This song show's the influence of the late great Bradley Nowell (Original Sublime singer). I feel like this is the one song on this EP that really shows Rome's true talent as A singer/songwriter. If any new music is like this song than consider me buying that new music.
As A fan of Sublime myself I feel like Rome fit's in perfectly with the rest of the band. I am A fan of Sublime With Rome and Rome himself. Consider me excited to hear new music from both Sublime With Rome & Rome.

Vonnegutt - Falling Up The Stairs
Vonnegutt is A rock-rap group signed to Big Boi's purple ribbon. This is their debut record.
1.Downfall-
A strong opening track. This song set's the mood to what you're gonna hear in this album. This song contains Kyle Lucas on verse's Neil Garrard on chorus. The instrumental fits the lyrics perfectly.
2.Bright Eyes-
This song was previously released on the appetizer - EP. It is definately a song im glad made the album. Again this song focuses with Kyle Lucas on verses Neil Garrard on chorus. Kyle Lucas shows humorous side on this song.
3.Thinking About The Time-
This Song is one of my favorites. Again Kyle Lucas is on the verse's Neil Garrard is on the chorus. I only keep bringing this up because there are a couple songs where Neil does verse's.
4.Knock (Feat. Will Pugh of Cartel)-
This song truly shows A rock influence as lead singer of Cartel, Will Pugh does vocal's. Kyle Lucas does the verse's. I pick this song as one of my favorites on this album. Vocals by Kyle Lucas &Will Pugh fit the instrumental so well.
5.Hard To Say-
This is another one of my favorites. The vocals once again mesh perfectly with the intrumental. There is not much more I can say about this song other than listen to it.
6.Going Home-
This in my opinion is A song about kinda having regret for what your doing, but at the same time not giving a fuck. It is one of the more party influenced song's on the album.
7.On My Side-
This song is sung alot more by both Kyle Lucas & Neil Garrard. It is another one of my favorites on this record. The Vocals and instrumental are cool because in my opinion they almost collide with one another, which I really enjoy.
8.Ode To What's Left Of Hope-
This song focuses alot more on vocal's by Neil Garrard, but Kyle Lucas is not completely out of the song. The instrumental is my favorite part of the song.
9.Too Close-
By far I think this song may be my number one favorite from this record. It start's with an intro by Neil Garrard then slowly moves into Kyle Lucas rapping about A girl with A drug problem. My favorite line is (your starving for attention, did I forget to mention welcome to your own episode of intervention biatch) haha.
10.Lights (Feat. Big Boi & WNDRBRD)-
Im not quite sure who WNDRBRD is, but I Definately know who Big Boi is. This song truly shows why Vonnegutt were signed by Big Boi. The answer is because they work so well together. The beat to this song is almost electronica. It is A great all around song.
11.Final Fantasy-
When I saw the name of this I thought it had something to do with the video game. Listening I honestly couldn't tell if it did however I highly doubt it did. This song did not standout too much for me other than the name.
12.Falling Up The Stairs-
Great Closing Track. It is also clearly the title track, and I can see why. The song is a perfect blend of great instrumental and great vocals. By far A great song.
For being the debut album for this group it feels like there is way more experience then one full length.
Overall: 4/5
Slaughterhouse - Welcome To Our House
This album is the major label debut of the rap supergroup ft Royce Da 5'9, Crooked I, Joel Ortiz, & joe Budden. I really enjoy this album alot. It has great beats well written lyrics and even humor.
1.The Slaughter (Intro)-
I personally don't like intro's/outro's/skit's, but I get why they have to be in the album.
2.Our House (Feat. Eminem & Skylar Grey)-
This song is an amazing collab between five great MC's and an equally great singer. I feel like Eminem & Skylar Grey add something great to the track.
3.Coffin (Feat. Bust Rhymes)-
Im not a huge fan of Busta Rhymes, but he brought this song to a whole new level. This song has one of my favorite beats from this album. The verse's and chorus fit the beat so well it's not even funny.
4.Throw That (Feat. Eminem)-
This song is very funny. Eminem added his famous humor to it, making it that much funnier. I feel like Joel Ortiz's verse stood out most to me.
5.Hammer Dance-
This was the first single for the album, and I can see why it was picked. It has an amazing beat and equally amazing verse's. This was one song that sold me on the album.
6.Get Up-
Definately A great song. The verse's make this song.
7.My Life (Feat. Cee-Lo Green)-
This was another song that sold me on the album. Without Cee-Lo this song would be great but Cee-Lo makes the song in my opinion. The beat is great and so are the verse's.
8.We Did It (Skit)-
A good filler track. Nothing too special with this skit.
9.Flip A Bird-
One of my favorite song's from the record. It is just great all the way around, beat and verse's.
10.Throw It Away (Feat. Swizz Beatz)-
This song was released before the album and definately played a role in me buying the album. Swizz Beatz helped make a hit here.
11.Rescue Me (Feat. Skylar Grey)-
This is A song that would have been great by itself, but with Skylar Grey It is amazing. She has A way of making great song's better (just look at Dr. Dre's - I need A Doctor with Eminem or Fort Minor's - Where'd You Go).
12.Frat House-
Another hit from this album. I feel like most people would stop listening to this record half way through cause it's too good.
13.Goodbye-
In my opinion this song could have ended this album, but im glad it didn't. Another great beat in this song. The verse's are also so amazing.
14.Park It Sideways-
There is not too much to say about this song. In my opinion it wasn't one of the better song's on the album.
15.Die-
This is by far my favorite song on the record. I love the beat and the verse's Crooked I & Royce Da 5'9 stood out the most to me.
16.Our Way(Outro)-
This song is great it closes the album perfectly, but is still an amazing song.
Overall: 4.5/5
Joel Faviere - Nobody - EP
This EP is A piano/vocal release from Joel Faviere.
1.Sweetie-
I love how the piano in the song is equally as creepy as the vocals, in a fully good way. I feel Joel needs to make more tunes like the song's in this EP.
2.I'm Fucking Crazy,But You're The One Who Made Me-
The name says it all. This song truly gives me chills when i listen to it. Definately one of the better songs from the EP. The vocals are recorded perfectly to the piano.
3.Heaven Is A Place On Her-
This song is one of the more upbeat songs on this EP. It fits the mood of the EP so well. The way Joel sings this song is amazing.
4.White Mercedes-
The Original of this song is my favorite song Joel put out, however im not too fond of this version. I just feel like the original was slow enough, now it's slower. This was not one of my favorites,
5.He's Not Different-
I really like this song. It is A faster song but not too fast, just right. In my opinion this is one of the better songs on the EP.
6.Stupid & Anxious-
I love this song because it's not perfect. here and there in the song you can hear cracks in Joel's voice which in my opinion makes the song better than when you can't hear mistakes. I feel like this song may make this EP .
Overall: 3.5/5
Joel Faviere - Thunder - EP
1.White Mercedes-
This song honestly sold me the EP. This song is just great all around. It is A song I can listen to whenever. Joel's Voice fits the instrumental so well.
2.Hip Bone Wishes-
This song is A very cleverly written song. Once again Joel's voice meshes with the music. I personally believe this song would stand tall on the EP or as A single by it's self.
3.Liquid Confidence-
This is another one of my favorites from this EP. The fact that this is kinda A full blown hip hop song makes it so much better. Joel proves he can stand even as A rapper.
4.Cat Eyed Glasses-
Another hip hop song is just what I wanted to hear from Joel. This song however focused me more on the lyrics then the music. I feel like this is another favorite of mine from this EP.
5.Be My Heart I Lack-
I don't think of this song as a closer because I don't see this EP as telling A story as much as Joel writing what he want's to. This is not A bad thing I feel that if more artist's write what they want music would be a way different thing.
I feel like this EP is A teaser. This Ep definately gets me excited for the future of Joel Faviere.
Overall: 4/5
All Time Low - Don't Panic
1.The Reckless And The Brave-
This song was technically the first single as it was released as a free download, and it is a great first single. I feel like this song is a great preview to the rest of the album. The vocals of Alex Gaskarth mesh perfectly with the instrumental.
2.Backseat Seranade (Feat. Cassadee Pope)-
A few songs struck me off guard in this album due to the fact that they have guest singers. It is new for all time low, however Cassadee Pope fits in perfectly with the song and the band in general. I believe that if future songs from all time low are like this I will be A fan for quite some time. I have no complaints with the vocals or intrumental in this song.
3.If These Sheets Were States-
This song in my opinion is the best song on the album. I really enjoyed the direction this song went. It is kinda an upbeat sort of love song. The Lyrics are well written as always. The instrumental fits the lyrics amazingly. If I could only buy one song from the album it would be this one for sure.
4.Somewhere In Neverland-
This song is definately another one of my favorites from the record. I feel like the lyrics fit the instrumental very well. It is just a fun song to listen to, no matter what type of music you like I feel like you can find something in this song you like.
5.So Long Soldier (Feat. Anthony Raneri of Bayside)-
I feel like this song stand's tall on it's own but with Anthony Raneri it is so much better. This song is definately played alot on my Ipod. The song is definately one of the more punk songs on the record.
6.The Irony Of Choking On A Lifesaver-
Just the name of the song had me excited to hear it haha. However when I started listening I realized the name had nothing to do with the song. This is an amazing song overall great vocals and instrumental.
7.To Live And Let Go-
Another one of the most played songs from this album on my Ipod. Something about this song always put's me in A good mood. This song is amazingly written all around.
8.Outlines (Feat. Jason Vena of Acceptance)-
I had no idea who Jason Vena was before this song, but as I was listening I realized exactly why he was on this song. He meshed perfectly with this song. This song was one I had to listen to again before i went on to the next one.
9.Thanks To You-
This song is by far one of my favorite songs from all time low. It is kinda like an ironic way to get back at someone. This song reminds me of walls (from nothing personal). It is definately one song I can't live without listening to.
10.For Baltimore-
My first thought on this song was how much I loved that it started off slow then sped up. I think Baltimore should be proud to have this song be about it. This song truly showed me where all time low came from.
11.Paint You Wings-
This is one song that did not make a difference to me whether it was on the album or not, but in no way do I not like this song i just feel like if it was not on the album it would still stand on it's own as A single. Definately well written. Kudos to all time low on this song.
12.So Long, And Thanks For All The Booze-
This song was a great way to end an already great album. I feel like this song just ended A sort of story all time low was telling. No complaints from me on this song.
Being A fan of all time low going on five years now I just loved this album. It is definately one of my favorite albums of 2012.
Overall: 5/5
Chomp Chomp Attack - How Do You Like Me Now - EP
1.For A Loss Of Words (Intro)-
As far as intro's go im not a huge fan of them, however i understand why they have to be there. This Is A great opening track no complaints from me.
2.Falling With Broken Wings-
This Is one of my favorite songs from the EP. The singing is great as is the screaming. The instrumental fits the lyrics perfectly. This song in my opinion puts the EP in the direction it needs to go. The rest of the EP follows along perfectly.
3.How Do You Like Me Now-
In my opinion this was the perfect song to be the first single. When I first heard it got me really pumped up to hear the rest of the EP. This song is possibly one of the most played songs on my Ipod. Once Again no complaints on the vocals, i feel like the instrumental stood it's own against the vocals.
4.Not So Happily Ever After-
I remember listening to live versions of this song way before the EP came out, this was the song that made me fall in love with this band. I feel like the energy i saw in the live videos was right there in the studio when this song was recorded. I feel like there are many ways to interpret this song, like the meaning is different to each listener. I feel that to really understand this song you have to listen.
5.Her Bleeding Smile-
This song may be another one of my favorites. The Lyrics are amazing as is the instrumental. I feel like with this band the fact that you can understand the screams is a key factor in whether or not you like them, and i could understand them completely.
6.From Dreams To Reality-
With this song I knew the EP was coming to an end. It was the only song that could close this EP. I feel like if any other song was the closer the EP may not have been so easy to listen to. Again no complaints on vocals or instrumental
Listening to this EP it is hard for me to believe this is the bands debut release.
Overall Rating: 4.5/5
