American Standards - The Death of Rhythm & Blues - EP

                                            Release Date: 9/14/2013

                                           Genre: Hardcore/Punk

Must Have Tracks: The Engine and The Engineer, Dead Man's Victory

This album really caught my attention with the name, what I mean by that is the name is very powerful by its self. With five kick ass, in your face songs it is definately worth getting for any Punk fans.

1. The Engine and the Engineer -
This is the lead single off the EP, Definately A very strong opening track. It starts off with A pissed at the world attitude and does not get rid of it. It is my opinion that  this is A track that people will listen to and instantly get pumped up.

2. Dead Man's Victory -
Opening up with the vocalist screaming " I Met The Devil At The Crossroad" shows exactly what the song is about, But at the same time does not get boring. I feel this song is probably one of my favorite tracks on the album. It also fills in why the album is called "The Death of Rhythm & Blues".

3. The Burden of Being -
Starting off very soft and melodic than instantly going insane . This song is very dark lyrically with lyrics like "Tying This Noose Around My Own Neck" this is a very good song in showing emotion. I feel this song shows the real personality of the band. The song ends and instantly goes into the next track.

4. The Interlude -
Continuing "The Burden of Being" this Instrumental is a very soft and melodic track.

5. Misery Relapse -
This song finishes the album with the same angry attitude as the beginning, It is A very powerful Closing track. The song really puts an end the the album quite nicely.

With heavy instrumentals and very well written lyrics it shocks me that the band is not bigger than they are. I feel this is A must listen album for fans of Hardcore & Punk music.
