We Are The Union - Keep It Down EP
Release: 5/15/2015
Genre: Punk/Ska
Label: Paper + Plastick
Call In Dead - This track is the perfect opening to a punk/ska album/EP. It has everything you can ask for in a ska song. The instrumental is catchy and the lyrics are well written and awesomely performed.
The Dreams That You Forgot - This track is the epitome of ska. The lyrics are awesomely written and performed. The instrumental reminds me of the feeling i got the first time i listened to Operation Ivy's self titled album. This track is one of my personal favorites.
My Whole Life Is A Dark Room - This track showcases more of the punk genre. The instrumental is very fast paced and in your face. The lyrics are quite meaningful and are performed awesomely.
Burnout (Green Day Cover) - I've personally never heard a Green Day cover i liked as much as the original until now. The instrumental is perfectly fitting to the lyrics. The vocals are quite amazing. This track might be my absolute favorite on the EP.
The Kings Of Chords - Another major ska song. This song is another standout track for me. The lyrics are quite punk rock sounding, which is great. The vocals are amazingly performed. The instrumental is very catchy and danceable.
Bury Me - This track closes the EP just as strong as "Call In Dead" opened it. The lyrics are amazing and are performed beautifully. The instrumental is awesomely written and performed.
Upon listening to this EP all i can think is come on Ska Revival!!! This band makes me love ska music just as much as i did growing up. This EP permanently placed We Are The Union in my list of artists to look out for.
